Converging Practices

Deeply human. Grounded in real practice.

Converging Practices develops practitioner frameworks, capability systems, and applied behavioural change models designed for real world justice and human service environments. We strengthen how professionals engage, influence, supervise, and support behavioural change under complex operational conditions.

Developing deeply human approaches to behaviour change.

Converging the science of behaviour, the realities of practice and the depth of human experience.

Why Converging Practices?

That purpose is expressed through the development of customisable behaviour change programs and practitioner development approaches. Our work is underpinned by Neuroplasticity Focused Interventions, PRISMS and R8, which bring together the conditions that support learning, regulation, engagement and sustained change. We work alongside organisations to translate these frameworks into programs, conversations and practice models suited to their workforce, service environment and the people they support.

What We Do

We translate evidence into practical programs, frameworks and practitioner development approaches that can be applied in real-world settings.

Our Work Helps Organisations:

Our Frameworks.

Strengthening how practitioners facilitator behaviour change.

Neuroplasticity Focused Interventions (NFI)

NFI brings together six evidence-based conditions associated with human learning and change: Safety, Attention, Physiological Readiness, Novel Challenge, Reflective Ownership, and Recovery and Consolidation. Converging Practices has organised these conditions into a practical sequence for understanding how interventions can more effectively interface with the mechanisms of neuroplasticity.

How NFI can help

PRISMS Readiness & Stability Framework

The framework brings together six interconnected domains: Physical Movement, Relationships, Intake, Sleep, Morning Light and Routine, and Stress Management. These conditions influence attention, energy, impulse control, emotional regulation, recovery and follow-through, making them important responsivity factors within behaviour change work.

How PRISMS can help

R8 Methodology

R8 organises change across eight connected processes: Regulate, Recognise, Reasons, Readiness, Rehearsal, Reflection, Recovery and Reinforcement. The framework can be used to understand the broader sequence of behaviour change, guide the structure of an effective change conversation, and help practitioners identify what they are doing in real time across intervention, supervision and case management.

Work with Converging Practices

Building practitioner capability for real-world intervention.

Converging Practices Training & Implementation Support.

We also work alongside organisations to strengthen practitioner capability and the broader strategic approach to intervention. Through tailored training, implementation support, coaching and communities of practice, we help teams integrate NFI, PRISMS and R8 into one-to-one behaviour change conversations, case management and existing intervention models.
